You are all the cousins and nephews in your house or in your grandmother’s house. Your mother tells you to entertain them. How do you escape from that? The solution, of course, is video games. And sometimes the funniest options only weigh a few megs. Here are the best multiplayer games to play these holidays.
Angry Birds Friends: The multiplayer version of Angry Birds has just been adapted to television for a few days, so if you have a Chromecast this holidays you can have a game with your friends and family as long as you are friends with Facebook.
Big Web Quiz: This Google experiment is not even translated into Spanish, but it’s one of the best-designed, funniest, and most deranged trivia games ever. You can collect up to five players.
Just Dance Now: no need for presentation. Just Chromecast version of Just Dance has no player limit and constantly updates its catalog of songs (although surely you will have to go through box to dance the one you like).
For Apple TV
Beat Sports Remote: They ‘ve been quick to do a “Wii Sports” for the Apple TV. With Beat Sport we will use the remote control, iPhone or iPad to compete with up to three friends in various sports and mini-games. All with a very colorful aesthetic.
Crossy Road: one of those simple games that gets hooked to millions of people. It came to Apple TV becoming multiplayer and is, if anything, even more addictive. The goal is simple: the hen crosses the road (again and again, until you crush).
Tap Tap Party: If Beat Sports was “Wii Sports”, the Tap Tap Party would be the “Mario Party” of the Apple TV. A series of short challenges to compete with friends. It supports up to four players, who can use their iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch.
Bloop: went unnoticed, but the more casual game of Noodlecake Studios is perfect for a family meal table: put the tablet on the table, choose each one a color and start the madness. The concept is clear with the video.
BombSquad: A spectacular series of mini-games (catch the flag, hockey-bomb, deadly combat) to compete with up to 7 friends on one screen. The other players can join with their own mobile via BombSquad Remote.
Minecraft Pocket: the fastest way to create a world of Minecraft to build with friends. The Pocket Edition is becoming more complete and includes the modes of survival and creativity. Each one connects with your mobile through the WiFi from home.
Pinturillo 2: popularized by Rubius and his friends, Pinturillo is a very simple Pictionary made in Flash. One creates the room, the rest unite and begin the shifts to draw. The system is the one that proposes the words. Also includes a chat.
Hearthstone: can not be considered a casual game (at least not if you see the most expert players play), but you learn fast and games last little. It is so popular that you probably have a cousin in your family hooked. The card game of this Christmas.
Worms Armageddon: mine with the Worms is pure nostalgia, no other game has made me laugh so much with friends (as when the shot backfires and ends up killing all your worms). The best version of all is on offer on Steam.
